Studio monitor HEDD Type 07 MK2
When it comes to delivering high-quality audio, the right equipment is essential. One of the most important parts of a studio is the studio monitor. Studio monitors are designed to accurately reproduce sound so you can hear every detail in your mix. In this description, we take a closer look at one of the most popular studio monitors on the market: the HEDD Type 07 MK2
Summary of the HEDD Type 07 MKII:
The HEDD Type 07 MK2 is an improved version of the original Type 07, released in 2016. The MK2 version offers several improvements over the original, including a more advanced driver, higher power handling and improved frequency response. The Type 07 MK2 is a two-way, active studio monitor designed for use in professional recording studios, mastering suites and broadcast facilities.
Features of the HEDD Type 7 MK2:
The HEDD Type 7 MK2 has a range of features that make it an excellent choice for anyone who needs accurate and detailed sound reproduction. Some of the key features of the Type 07 MK2 are:
- 7-inch extended driver with an ultra-rigid honeycomb sandwich diaphragm
- Dual 100W class-D amplifiers
- Advanced Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter
- Adjustable high frequency response (+/- 2dB)
- Bass reflex system with low distortion
- Extensive input options, including XLR, RCA and AES3 digital inputs
The HEDD TYPE 07 MK2 is designed for mixing engineers and producers. Its Air Motion Transformer tweeter offers clean and realistic reproduction of the high mid frequencies and high range, crucial frequency bands for most instruments and vocal recordings. Using a Honeycomb 7″ diaphragm and 100W ICE Power class-D amplifiers, this speaker’s bass response is fast and extremely dynamic.
Like all MK2 monitors, the TYPE 07 MK2 model also runs on a powerful SHARC DSP equipped with our latest innovations: The Lineariser® perfects the speaker’s timely behavior and gives you better insight and control over the stereo image. Closed or Ported (CoP) technology gives you two different sound options to choose from: Accuracy at the exact point (“Closed” by inserting foam plugs into the bass ports) and the ability to run the speakers at higher volumes and still have access to the lower bass areas (“Open”).
The MK2 range also includes desktop and shelving filters to further adapt the speakers to your room and a Bass-Extension mode that gives you access to even lower frequency ranges. All controls are accessed via smooth cascading aluminum potentiometers, making speaker adjustments a breeze.
The TYPE 07 MK2 has an analog XLR and a digital AES connection. It is available in black and white.
