EVE SC307 Studio Monitor
The EVE SC307 is the second model in our range of three-way studio monitors. This powerful monitor is perfectly suited for both near and midfield monitoring. And in surround setups, the SC307 also works great as a center speaker.
The eve audio SC307 combines the power of three different amplifiers to deliver highly efficient, dynamic and low noise sound reproduction.
The three-way systems are designed for critical and detailed listening. While they are capable of providing plenty of power and thunderous bass frequencies, they will also excel if you are looking for a precise and highly detailed pair of speakers.
Advanced Three-Way Technology for Maximum Efficiency
The three-way systems are designed with the goal of optimum frequency distribution across all individual components, resulting in more efficient operation of your speakers.
In these systems, each driver – both woofers and tweeter – gets its own amplifier. One woofer is specifically tuned for frequencies up to 300 Hz, acting as a dedicated bass driver. The second woofer covers a wider frequency range as a bass midrange driver up to the 3000 Hz crossover frequency, where our high-quality AMT tweeter seamlessly takes over playback. This setup minimizes interference between the drivers and ensures highly efficient, dynamic and accurate sound reproduction.
This design philosophy reduces the workload per woofer by distributing frequencies evenly. This reduces mechanical inertia and increases the efficiency of sound reproduction.
Both woofers feature our 6.5″ SilverCone technology, identical to that of our two-way SC207 system. They utilize our advanced low-distortion copper magnet system for even purer sound reproduction. The use of two woofers simultaneously also achieves an extended frequency response up to 40 Hz, providing a powerful and balanced bass response.
The EVE SC307 also uses the patented AMT RS2 tweeter, which uses a larger faceplate, and a larger internal magnet to drive the AMT tweeter more efficiently.
With the three 100 W PWM power amplifiers, you won’t lack power either, as the maximum sound pressure level of 114 dB (SPL @ 1m) will confirm.
And no worries about how to properly position the SC307 in your room or studio. The DSP section helps you choose the speaker for the left and right sides. So you always get the right symmetry between your speakers, instead of having to move them around as usual. A DIP switch on the back of the speakers allows these settings to be temporarily locked for room adaptation.
As with any other EVE audio speaker, you get both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for added convenience.
DSP SC307
With every EVE studio monitor, you also get high-resolution DSP electronics. At the touch of a button, you have access to precise volume control and various filter settings that help you adapt your monitors to the way you work. And if you always avoid digital processing, we’ve got you covered. The DSP engine is supported with a high quality A/D converter (24bit / 192kHz) from Burr-Brown, which provides a pristine signal to the DSP section. And since the PWM amplifiers are connected directly to the DSP, no additional conversion is required. Please visit our DSP page to learn more about our DSP philosophy.
Bass port design
It’s all in the geometry. One of the drawbacks of port compression is bass distortion. As you turn up the volume, the efficiency of the gate decreases and the distortion increases.
We opted for a large rectangular rear port with no hard edges for our bass port designs. That is one of the reasons why EVE monitors have high efficiency at the lower frequencies.
The results? High sound pressure with tight and powerful bass frequencies that do not cause port distortion. Turn up the volume and EVE delivers round bass.
