Are you looking for an audio interface that makes your vocals and instruments sound like a polished studio recording right away? With the new Universal Audio Volt 2 Gen 2, you can bring Universal Audio’s iconic analog sound to your home studio.
The Gen 2 has been redesigned from the ground up with razor-sharp 32-bit / 192 kHz conversion, smart Auto-Gain with Clip Protection, a clear Smart Display, and three unique Tone Shaping preamps. Whether you’re a singer-songwriter, recording podcasts, or hosting live streams, the Volt 2 Gen 2 is the ultimate 2-in / 4-out USB audio interface for every creator.
Why the Universal Audio Volt 2 Gen 2 Is the New Standard
1. Three Unique Preamp Sound Characters (Warmth, Focus & Shine)
With the built-in Tone Shaping preamps, you can instantly give your sound the analog tone you want before you record:
- Warmth: Adds the rich, full-bodied tube sound of the legendary UA 610 tube console to your vocals and guitars.
- Focus: Delivers a tight, clear solid-state sound that brings vocals and solos right to the forefront of your mix.
- Shine: Delivers an airy, open high-end frequency response, inspired by classic British Class-A studio consoles.
2. Superior 32-Bit / 192 kHz Audio Conversion
With an impressive dynamic range of up to 119 dB on the inputs and 126 dB on the monitor outputs, you’ll capture every dynamic nuance with razor-sharp clarity. From subtle acoustic details to powerful vocal outbursts: your recordings remain noise-free and crystal clear.
3. Flawless Recording with Auto-Gain & Clip Protection
- Auto-Gain: Let Volt 2 Gen 2 automatically determine the ideal recording level in just a few seconds.
- Clip Protection: No more ruined recordings due to unexpected loud peaks. The hardware automatically corrects signals that are too loud to prevent digital distortion.
- Full-Color Smart Display: Thanks to the bright color display, you can see all your levels, selected channels, and settings at a glance right on the interface.
4. Ideal for Podcasting, Live Streaming, and Content Creation
Thanks to the built-in loopback feature, you can effortlessly combine live microphone signals with audio from your computer (such as background music, game audio, or Discord conversations). Plus, the Volt 2 Gen 2 integrates seamlessly with the UAD Console app and LUNA DAW for real-time cue mixing with no noticeable latency.
