Moog Subsequent 25
Moog Subsequent 25 is a new compact moog Synthesizer that builds on the success of the award-winning Sub-Phatty by implementing the duo mode paraphonic functionality, upgrading the woodside pieces and providing the much-loved improvements of the next series.
The moog Subsequent 25 has 2 oscillators, 1 sub-oscillator and 1 noise generator. These are sent to a classic Moog Ladder filter with slopes of 6/12/18/24dB per octave. The developers reshaped the gain staging in the ladder filter to improve harmonic saturation and analog compression, resulting in an overall richer bass. Also onboard is a new powerful headphone amplifier strong enough to drive the most demanding headphones.
On the modulation side, it offers 2 ADSR envelopes and an LFO with triangle, square, sawtooth, slope and sample & hold waveforms. In its final stage, it features a retuned analog multidrive that goes way beyond the Sub Phatty’s original grit and growl. Like the Sub Phatty, you can also store presets in the moog Subsequent 25 (4 banks of 4 presets). It features these brand new presets optimized to take full advantage of the Subsequent 25’s enhanced circuitry.
The keybed of this synthesizer has also been upgraded, offering 25 semi-weighted velocity-sensitive keys, pitch bend and mod wheel. On the connection side, it features audio in/out at 1/4 , inputs for Filter CV, Pitch CV, Volume CV, KB Gate and a USB type B port. It also includes a plugin and standalone editor and librarian for Mac/PC.
