PWM Malevolent Synthesizer
The PWM Malevolent is a new British synthesizer brand, and they have just released an impressive debut synth: the Malevolent. A dual-VCO semi-modular monosynth, the Malevolent offers a 2.5 octave mini keyboard, a multi-function (pitch, vibrato and portamento) joystick, and no less than 38 jack patch points.
In addition to traditional modular references, it is the PWM Malevolent features a built-in USB-MIDI-CV converter, for use with a DAW, MIDI messages are converted to standard Port and 1V/oct CV signals.
There is a six mode arpeggiator on hand, and this can synchronize either the internal clock or an external one, via USB, MIDI clock or an analog signal. Usefully, you can power the Evil via USB alone, making it a perfect partner for compact or live setups.
