The adam A8H is equipped with an 8-inch resonant MLM (Multi-Layer Mineral) fiber woofer, an innovative center toner and a hand-crafted precision X-ART type tweeter, which together give an ultra-wide frequency response.
Like the other members of the A-Series family, the A8H offers you tremendous flexibility for sound tuning thanks to rotatable HPS waveguide technology and on-board DSP. At home in a wide range of audio applications in medium to large spaces, the A8H is the right choice if you’re looking for the most detailed reproduction of your audio.
Rotatable HPS waveguide & X-ART tweeter Adam a8H
ADAM Audio HPS (High Frequency Propagation System) waveguide technology enables tweeters to propagate sound with controlled consistency, wide in the horizontal axis but tightly focused in the vertical plane. The A-Series introduces a swivel HPS waveguide design. You can move the A-Series tweeters in 90-degree increments, so you can continue to take advantage of HPS waveguide technology, whether you place the speakers horizontally or vertically.
The A-Series HPS waveguide is made of a new fiberglass polymer compound that contributes to a clear sound, free of unwanted resonance. The ADAM Audio a8h X-ART tweeter is at the heart of the rotatable HPS waveguide.
Handcrafted in Germany, the X-ART tweeter offers precise transient response and reproduces the finest sound details.Used in every A-Series speaker, this X-ART tweeter provides detailed, consistent sound throughout the product line.
The woofers of the Adam a8h are made from a unique blend of mineral stone fibers baked together to form a lightweight but extremely stable material. The mineral composition, layering and geometry of each cone are specific to the driver used in each model.
By combining this material with a new magnet system, the A-Series woofers produce high output power with low distortion, yielding a pure low.
DSP-based electronics Adam A8H
The Adam a8h -Series uses the transformative power of DSP-based electronics to provide greater tuning precision and predictability than analog-only speakers.
With firmware that can be updated via an Ethernet connection, over time you can expect the latest DSP-based capabilities from ADAM Audio – including new filter types and features, plus alternate voicings.
