Melodyne 5 studio has a lot of changes under the hood. The melodic algorithm processes pitch and noise-like components separately, giving you an ultra-musical analysis of pitch deviations. Chord Track and Chord Grid let you adjust notes – or full chords – to a song at lightning speed. Create note-based fades – even in polyphonic recordings – with the Fade Tool. You can also use the Sibilant tool to adjust the volume on a note-by-note basis between pitch and non-pitch, and the leveling macro to minimize volume differences between notes. There is an additional Percussive Pitched algorithm, along with other algorithm improvements, plus callable hotkey search functions. This is the best version of Melodyne yet!

You can work with a single track, or with Multitrack Note Editing you can work with multiple tracks at once. It’s a breeze to use. Just grab a note, move it to the perfect pitch or position, optimize the length or change the intensity of the vibrato. Such corrections are absolutely not noticeable; the musical message is preserved because Melodyne intelligently adjusts the note transitions and phrasing. So there are no jumps or the infamous Cher effect unless you want it to!
Harmonies and double tracking are just a few clicks away
With a few mouse clicks you can make your vocals thicker by doubling or having a second voice play along on the octave. Melodyne 5 studio can also provide small random variations in pitch and timing so that it sounds natural. Harmonies are also incredibly easy to create, and since you can individually influence the formant of each voice without affecting the pitch, you can even take a single take of a single voice and turn it into convincing virtual backup singers.
