Ferrofish Pulse 16 AE

With the Ferrofish Pulse16 AE, we continue our tradition of high-quality but affordable AD / DA converters. The Pulse16 provides 16 x16 fully balanced analog inputs and outputs and handles levels up to +20 dBu in professional studio quality.

Four ADAT I/O ports are available as digital interfaces, so all 16 x16 analog channels can still be used even at 96 kHz.

Full control and easy operation

Through the front headphone output, any mono or stereo signal from the Ferrofish Pulse 16 can be listened to. The two TFT displays always allow precise control of the signals through a well-structured display of all 32 levels.

The Ferrodish Pulse16 also has the innovative and self-explanatory operating concept that makes working with our A32 converter a simple process.

Sound quality

In addition to current Cirrus Logic converter chips, the Pulse16 employs active digital jitter elimination, which compensates for shifts (jitter) in the audio signal and thus results in significant sound improvement.

Ferrofish: The Indispensable Link in Your Digital Audio Network In a modern studio or live environment, the quality of your conversion and the flexibility of your routing is critical to the end result. Ferrofish has become the specialist in crystal clear AD/DA converters that excel in reliability and value for money. Whether you want to integrate 16 channels of analog gear into your digital workflow or manage a complex MADI or Dante network: Ferrofish offers the stability professionals demand. Why Choose Ferrofish Converters? Ferrofish equipment is known for its "German thoroughness" and transparent sound that neither adds nor takes away anything from the original signal. The main advantages are:1. Unprecedented Channel Density With devices like the Pulse 16, Ferrofish offers as many as 16 analog inputs and outputs in a compact 1U enclosure. This makes it the ideal solution for connecting external hardware, mixers or elaborate synth setups without immediately filling up your rack.2. Ultimate Flexibility with MADI and Dante Ferrofish leads the way when it comes to network audio. The A32 series lets you effortlessly switch between analog signals, ADAT, MADI and the wildly popular Dante protocol. Thanks to the built-in routing matrix, you can route any incoming signal to any output you want, making Ferrofish the "control tower" of your studio.3. Visual Control and Ease of Use. Unique to Ferrofish are the bright TFT screens on the front panel. This gives you instant visual control over all input and output levels (measuring is knowing!). No hassle with complicated software menus while you are in the middle of a session; all important parameters are directly accessible.Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Why do I need a Ferrofish converter in addition to my audio interface? When you have more analog equipment (such as preamps, compressors or synths) than your interface has in terms of channels, a Ferrofish converter serves as an extension. You connect the Ferrofish to your current interface via ADAT or MADI and instantly gain 16 or 32 channels. What is the difference between the Pulse 16 and the A32? The Pulse 16 offers 16 analog inputs and outputs and operates by default via ADAT (optionally expandable with MADI). The A32 is the flagship with 32 analog channels, more extensive routing options and standard support for MADI (and optional Dante). Is Ferrofish suitable for live use? Absolutely. Thanks to its rugged build quality and redundant power supply (on the larger models), Ferrofish is a favorite in big-tour live racks. The converters can take a beating and operate flawlessly in critical environments. How transparent are the converters? Ferrofish uses high-quality AKM converters known for their neutral reproduction. They offer very low latency and impressive dynamic range, allowing your mixes to retain their depth and detail. Why buy Ferrofish at I4studio We are experts in digital audio integration. Whether you need help setting up a Dante network or are simply looking for the best way to connect your analog outboard gear to your DAW, we recommend the right Ferrofish solution.
