Experience ultra-low latency thanks to RME’s USB 2 technology, combined with legendary driver stability and long-term support. The Fireface 802 FS is built on a newly developed analog and digital circuit board. The analog board is equipped with, among other things, DC-coupled analog outputs and brand-new AD/DA converters. The digital board also introduces interesting new features thanks to updated high-tech components.
Well-designed front and rear connections
On the front panel, you’ll find four high-quality XLR/TRS combo inputs for microphone, instrument, and line signals. There are also two stereo headphone outputs with an output level of +17 dBu, which provide more than enough volume even for high-impedance headphones.
The back panel shows the Fireface 802 FS’s full range of connectivity options. In addition to MIDI and Word Clock I/O, there are two optical ADAT I/Os, one AES/EBU I/O, and eight balanced analog line-level inputs and outputs available. Thanks to the new Multi-Mode feature, the two ADAT connectors can be used as separate optical S/PDIF inputs and outputs in addition to the AES I/O. In addition, there is a USB-A port for directly connecting the optional ARC USB remote control.
Powerful software for mixing, monitoring, and measurements included
The Fireface 802 FS AE comes with the TotalMix FX DSP mixer for extensive routing and monitoring options, as well as the DigiCheck Analyzer, which allows you to measure and analyze the digital data signal in both directions with maximum precision.
TotalMix FX can completely replace an external mixing console. It allows you to create multiple latency-free monitor mixes—including EQ, dynamics, reverb, and delay—for any output you want, from the main monitors to individual headphone mixes for musicians.
Wireless Control with TotalMix Remote
With the optional TotalMix Remote, you can easily control the hardware mixer and effects of RME interfaces remotely. TotalMix Remote displays the current status of the host system in real time on your iPad, Mac, or Windows PC. From the complete routing and FX settings to the level meters: effortlessly adjust all mixer and effect settings via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
