Avid S3 DAW Control Surface
Get a sleek yet versatile mixing system for the modern sound engineer. Based on the award-winning Avid S6-DAWcontroller, Avid S3 delivers intelligent control over every aspect of Pro Tools and other DAWs. All on a more portable and affordable basis. But don’t let the small size fool you. While it’s ideal for space-saving and on-the-go mixing, it packs tremendous power to handle large sessions and turn projects around faster. Plus, it pairs perfectly with Avid Dock and the Avid Control app to further expand your workflow.
Get more control over your mix, whether you’re making music or softening soundtracks. Interact with 16 touch-sensitive, motorized faders to bring your mix more alive. Record-enabled tracks directly from the controller. Solo, select and mute channels. Change automation modes. Navigate projects using the touch strip transport strips. And keep an eye on your levels with the AVID S3’s built-in meters
Quickly view, access and adjust multiple facets of your music or soundtrack project with the 32 touch-sensitive push-button-style rotary encoders. Use the top row channel control coders to make changes to inputs, inserts, transmissions, groups, and more. Use the second row of assignable channel encoders individually to control plug-ins, pan, EQ, compressor, and other parameters. And view names, settings, status, channel metering and more via the 32 OLED screens.
You don’t need to use a separate audio interface to record and monitor sessions. Avid S3 has a built-in AVB Core Audio interface with 4 inputs and 6 outputs to connect your studio (Mac only). Record vocals and instrument performances via two high-quality XLR mic/line inputs and two TRS line inputs. And connect studio speakers, headphones and other gear to four line outputs and one stereo headphone output
Avid S3 supports EUCON, a fast Ethernet-based technology that enables the hardware to communicate directly with any EUCON-compatible application – and vice versa. That means you can use it to control Pro Tools, Cubase, Nuendo, Logic Pro and other audio software to speed up and facilitate recording and mixing tasks. And when paired with Avid Dock and/or the free Avid Control app, you get full monitor control, touchscreen workflows, and customizable softkeys.
