Hand-built Capsule and High-Voltage Tube
The SE/Neve RNT uses sE’s most sophisticated, hand-built 1-inch gold-sputtered condenser capsule. This is directly coupled to a selected ECC82 tube in the microphone housing. This high-voltage circuit provides natural, harmonic saturation that makes vocals and instruments sound “larger than life.”

The real power of the RNT is in the external floor power supply. This contains not only the power supply, but also a complete amplification stage designed by Rupert Neve himself:
