The Secret of the “Big” Sound

What makes the WA-47 so special is the signal path that makes no compromise on quality:

  • Custom K47-Style Capsule: Warm Audio has recreated the legendary k47 capsule in every detail. This all-brass, gold-sputtered capsule is responsible for the unique midrange response.

  • TAB-Funkenwerk Output Transformer: The US-built AMI transformer gives the WA-47 that huge headroom and characteristic “creaminess” in the low and high frequencies.

  • Premium Tubes & Capacitors: The JJ 5751 tube is combined with WIMA and French Solen capacitors for a signal transmission that is both crystal clear and harmonically rich.

9 Target Characteristics for Ultimate Control

Where most microphones stop at three characteristics, the WA-47 goes further. Via the external power supply, you choose from as many as 9 different patterns (including Cardioid, Omni and Figure-8, plus all the variants in between). This lets you match the degree of proximity effect (proximity effect) and room ambience to your source with surgical precision.
