EVE Audio SC2070 Studio Monitor

This is a 2-way monitor with an extra large Air Motion Transformer (AMT) and a perfect piece of work for medium-sized professional and home recording studios where quality is paramount. With the development of the SC2070, the studio monitor specialist demonstrates its commitment to unstoppable innovation and continuous development.
The most striking feature of the EVE SC2070 is a newly developed Air Motion Transformer RS7, the largest AMT used in a 2-way monitor. The aperture area is 1.5 times larger than that of the tweeter in the popular SC207. RS7 was developed specifically for the SC2070 to achieve a crossover frequency at 1800Hz that is astonishingly low for a 2-way monitor. High and upper midrange frequencies are reproduced with unparalleled precision and resolution, revealing the smallest nuances. The midrange image is assured at levels normally found in 3-way systems.
This brand new RS7 AMT is paired with a 6.5″ SilverCone woofer driven by an advanced copper-capped magnet system with a 1.5″ voice coil. An optimized enclosure with low resonance and a reinforced front soundboard ensures extreme stability of the SC2070’s mechanical construction. Chamfered cabinet edges reduce sound diffraction
All frequency response parameters of the SC2070 are controlled via a SMART knob, a trademark of all EVE Audio studio monitors. High-resolution DSP electronics are supported by a top-quality 192kHz A/D converter from Burr-Brown. The DSP provides latency-free filtering while protecting the drivers from overheating across the frequency range. On power up, the monitor volume increases slowly, leaving enough time to lower the source volume if the input signal is too loud. Leveling the system volume and setting filters for room variables (low shelf, mid EQ and high shelf filters) can be done easily from the front of the monitor. All settings are displayed on an LED ring, which provides immediate and accurate information about the selected values. The brightness of the LED ring can be adjusted for dark studio or video applications.
