The A8H is equipped with an 8-inch resonant MLM fiber woofer (Multi-Layer Mineral), an innovative mid-range toner and a handcrafted precision X-ART tweeter, which together provide an ultra-wide frequency response. Like the other members of the A-Series family, the A8H gives you tremendous flexibility for tuning the sound thanks to its pivoting HPS waveguide technology and on-board DSP. Rotatable HPS waveguide & X-ART tweeter Adam a8H
ADAM Audio HPS (High Frequency Propagation System) waveguide technology enables tweeters to propagate sound with controlled consistency, wide in the horizontal axis but tightly focused in the vertical plane. The A-Series introduces a swivel HPS waveguide design. You can move the A-Series tweeters in 90-degree increments, so you can continue to take advantage of HPS waveguide technology, whether you place the speakers horizontally or vertically.
The A-Series HPS waveguide is made from a new fiberglass polymer compound that contributes to a clear sound, free of unwanted resonance. The ADAM Audio a8h X-ART tweeter is the heart of the rotating HPS waveguide. The X-ART tweeter, handcrafted in Germany, offers an accurate transient response and reproduces the finest sound details. This X-ART tweeter is used in every A-Series loudspeaker, delivering detailed, consistent sound across the entire product line.
The Adam a8h’s woofers are made from a unique blend of mineral stone fibers that are baked into a lightweight yet extremely stable material. The mineral composition, stratification and geometry of each cone are specific to the driver used in each model. Combining this material with a new magnet system, the A-Series woofers produce high output power with low distortion, resulting in a clean bass.
DSP-based electronics
The Adam a8h Series harnesses the transformative power of DSP-based electronics to provide greater tuning precision and predictability than analog-only speakers. With firmware that can be updated over an Ethernet connection, you can expect the latest DSP-based capabilities from ADAM Audio over time – including new filter types and features, plus alternative voicings.
